“Fu” arrived to Philippine Tong Ho Institute: “携福筑梦” Practice Team Delivers Lecture on Chinese “Fu” Culture On

August 5, the “携福筑梦” Practice Team from Huaqiao University visited Philippine Tong Ho Institute to introduce Chinese “Fu” culture—a tradition symbolizing blessings and good fortune.

The session included an overview of “Fu” culture, an exploration of the artistic expressions of the Chinese character “福”, and its connections to traditional festivals and architecture. Following an interactive discussion, students had the chance to create their own 平安符 (Good Luck Charm) with guidance from the team. This hands-on activity deepened the students’ appreciation of Chinese “Fu” culture while fostering greater interest in Chinese culture as a whole.

The “携福筑梦” Practice Team is composed of alumna Clarisse Ashlyn Tan (陈丽华) from PTHI Batch 2020, along with team leader Eldwin John Del Monte (曾光明) and member Kathleen Lois Go (吴佳仁). The team would like to express sincere gratitude for the steadfast support of Philippine Tong Ho Institute, Principal Fatima O. Sia (谢瑞瑛), Chinese Coordinator Ma. Ziena Jill T. Lacerona (陈丝娜), Teacher Dianne X. Lim (林燕妮), and PTHI Batch 2020 alumna Mia Graciela D. Calatrava (蔡文惠).

Thank you, Tonghonians!
